"I woke up on Imbolc morning with a vision of a besom right in front of my eyes. Then suddenly I was overcome with a wave of creative energy like I hadn't ever experienced and I *had* to make one and nothing could stop me, it was a creative frenzy. So off to the forest I went, still full of my creative vigour manicly collecting birch and trying to find a piece of wood that spoke to me. I found what I wanted and went home. And so I went back home and sat for hours and hours totally engrossed in what I was making. The picture is the outcome. So Imbolc always remind me of this stirring of lightness through creativity as well as the stirring of new life and light after winter."
