* News *

Thought I'd instigate a news page because I hope to have quite a lot throughout 2012! If you want to share any thoughts, opinions or ideas regarding WEO and its world do get in touch, details on Contact page.

January 2012

The new year is upon us & already charging away at a rate of knots! Many new plans are afoot in the WitchEver Oak workshop. My Grove Collection is now in full swing and is proving a source of delight to its creator at least! I love doing dangly bits :-)

Am over the moon to have taken delivery of a fabulous 1957 manual Singer sewing machine upon which I hope many more pretty fabric things will be created this year. This is the model of machine that my Mum taught me to sew with at the age of eight - I never did get the hang of the new-fangled electrickery style machines! I have some beautiful fabrics awaiting my attention for new altar cloths and am also planning some primitive style fabric sculptures.

 New goodies to come within the next couple of months include new art cards featuring the work of excellent young photographer Robyn Eve and graphic artist LuSete, as well as some very pretty hand crafted candle jars which can be used inside or out to add to the magick.

Finally, if you've found your way to us via Kindred Spirit magazine - welcome! Do visit the shop and join us on Facebook for regular updates and news of forthcoming prettiness.

December 2011

It's been a good year for WitchEver Oak, evolving as it has from hobby into fully-fledged business at last and I'd like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and friendship, both online and at the various events we've attended. In particular we LOVED attending Witchfest and Hogswatch!

The Facebook page is proving a success and is a great way for me to listen to you and your ideas - it's good to interact in such an instant and accessible manner, and in this ever-expanding online world it's a splendid way for WEO to reach out to new friends worldwide.

Bigger and brighter pretty things are coming over the next few months!  My Grove Collection is almost ready to go, inspired by woodland flora and fauna, and am currently working on tiara designs for the launch of my first Handfasting/Wedding collection early next year.

I am also looking into some new events for 2012 and would love to visit Wales and Scotland with the stall, maybe Ireland/Northern Ireland too (WEO on tour, yay!). And of course we'll be at our 'old faithfuls', all things permitting - Witchfest and hopefully Hogswatch again too, although having both huge events in the same month makes for a lot of hard work!! But you're worth it... :-D

It's been a delight to round off the year with our annual Yule Creativity Competition and I extend huge thanks to visionary artist Neil Geddes Ward for judging  this year. All the entries were lovely and as usual the diversity and level of talent has been incredibly impressive. There has to be a winner though so ... Huge congratulations to Amy for her beautiful Yule ornament below...

Very best wishes for the brightest Yule to all from WitchEver Oak
Take care.
